Mumbai: Rainfall intensity will be low over the next 10 days due to the absence of significant weather systems for heavy rainfall over Mumbai and adjoining areas.
According to Skymet Weather, no new monsoon weather system has been predicted for Mumbai for the next few days, bringing only moderate showers and cloudy skies along with a rise in maximum temperature which would be around 32 degrees Celsius.
Mahesh Palawat, Vice President, Meteorology and Climate Change, Skymet Weather, said: “Over the next 8-10 days the rainfall intensity will be low as there are no significant heavy rain weather systems. around Mumbai which will cause the monsoon to weaken. surge. However, moderate monsoon activities will continue. The weather experienced by Mumbaikars on Monday will remain the same for the next 48 hours after which it will witness a further drop in rainfall intensity.
The maximum temperature in Mumbai had seen a drop during the heavy rains of most of July, but on Monday the temperature rose by 3.8 degrees Celsius compared to Friday, due to less rainfall.
Water levels in lakes
The stock of water in the seven lakes supplying the city with water has reached 12.54.377 million liters in the past 24 hours. At the same time last year, it was 4.15.175 million liters.
High tide and low tide
Meanwhile, a high tide of 4.21 meters is likely to occur at 4:20 p.m. in Mumbai today. Additionally, a low tide of 1.33 meters is expected at 10:41 p.m. tonight.
