The city receives moderate rainfall; IMD forecasts moderate precipitation with the possibility of heavy showers in isolated areas

In a respite from rising temperature and humidity, Mumbai has experienced rain the second day. However, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) in its 24-hour forecast predicted moderate rainfall in cities and suburbs with the possibility of heavy rainfall in isolated places.

Mumbai received moderate rainfall on Saturday, causing the city’s mercury to drop.

The Mumbai Regional Weather Center has predicted moderate rains in the city and suburbs with the possibility of heavy falls in isolated locations over the next 24 hours.

They also predicted light to moderate rains in Mumbai and the suburbs over the next 48 hours.

Mumbai has received moderate rainfall since last night, however, no significant waterlogging was reported.

“Moderate to heavy rain episodes very likely to occur in isolated places in the districts of Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Beed, Latur, Osmanabd. Moderate rain episodes likely to occur over Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Ahmednagar, Pune, Jalgaon, Dhule, Sangli and Parbhani, “the Regional Meteorological Center predicted yesterday.

Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert for Delhi on Saturday following heavy and continuous rains in the nation’s capital.

Parts of Delhi have also experienced severe congestion, affecting traffic.
