The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Tuesday that Mumbai and its suburbs will experience moderate rains with sometimes intense periods and gusty winds.

When there is a high tide during the rainy season, it becomes difficult for the flooded waters to recede. The low tide helps the city’s floodwaters find an outlet to enter the seas.
IMD said on Monday that the island city, eastern and western suburbs recorded 19.74mm, 16.36mm and 15.92mm of rain, respectively, in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the deep low centered in the northern interior of Odisha and adjacent to northern Chhattisgarh will weaken to a low over the next six hours, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) reported on Tuesday.
“A deep low was centered at 5:30 am IST on September 14, 2021, over the northern interior of Odisha and northern Chhattisgarh adjacent about 50 km west-northwest of Jharsiguda and about 130 km south-south “Is Ambikapur. Weaken into depression over the next six hours,” IMD tweeted.
Earlier on Monday, IMD reported that a low pressure system over the Bay of Bengal intensified into a deep low and crossed the Odisha coast bringing heavy rains to parts of the west coast and central India. .
It also issued a red alert in seven districts, an orange alert in six districts and a yellow alert in eight districts of Odisha due to heavy rains.
