Our weather team here at JET 24/FOX 66/YourErie.com provided a noon weather update regarding the forecasted storms ahead.
At the time of writing, there are no major changes. The team is monitoring an isolated strong storm in Venango County.
There is still a threat of severe weather at this time which could continue into the evening.
There is still a risk of heavy storms. The risk of tornadoes has also decreased slightly.
The SPC also moved to level three of five slightly to the east, which could cut Erie and Crawford counties into Warren and Chautauqua counties.
There is still a risk of damaging gusts of wind at this time. These gusts could become more active later, but at this time there are no major concerns for the afternoon other than an isolated thunderstorm.
A severe thunderstorm watch has also been issued for Chautauqua, Warren, Forest and Venango until 10 p.m.
No local counties outside of Warren are included in this storm watch due to high uncertainty.
This may change later, but the severe threat has been reported to be somewhat lower for the rest of the afternoon.
There could still be a few gusty thunderstorms to the southeast.
