Light rain likely in eastern parts of MP

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Some districts in eastern Madhya Pradesh are expected to receive light rain over the next 24 hours, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

A wave of rain is expected in an isolated area of ​​Satna, Sidhi and Singrauli districts.

According to the IMD office in Bhopal, in the past 24 hours, Satna is the only district in the state to experience rain. Rain is likely to occur during the afternoon hours.

There is cyclonic circulation over South Gujarat causing incursion of humidity and clouds into the state and hence rain is expected in some parts.

Bhopal-based meteorologists said that outside of this system, the state would also experience the impact of western disturbances around February 18.

Overall, daytime and nighttime temperature in the state remained slightly above normal, with some respite from the cold.

The minimum temperature in the capital Bhopal was recorded at 13 degrees Celsius, 0.3 degrees below normal, while the maximum temperature was set at 27.7 degrees.

Clear skies and dry weather are likely in Bhopal with daytime and nighttime temperatures hovering around 26 degrees and 14 degrees respectively, while the average wind speed will be 16 km/h.

While the lowest overall temperature in the state over the past 24 hours was recorded at 8 degrees Celsius in Nowgaon, Chhatarpur district.
