IMD predicts severe cold conditions for the next 2 days in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Bihar

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted cold to very cold daytime conditions in isolated pockets over Uttar Pradesh for the next 2 days and over Punjab and Bihar for the next 24 hours .

The weather forecast service said dense/very dense fog conditions are likely in isolated/some parts at night/morning over Uttar Pradesh over the next 3 days and over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi over the next 2 days.

“Cold day to very cold day conditions are very likely in isolated pockets over Uttar Pradesh over the next 2 days and over Punjab and Bihar over the next 24 hours and will continue. subsequently mitigate,” IMD tweeted.

“Conditions of dense/very dense fog likely in isolated/some areas at night/morning for the next 3 days; over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Bihar, West Bengal sub-Himalayan, Assam and Tripura over the next 2 days and over Odisha on February 8-9,” he added.

IMD also predicted rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning over Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, western Uttar Pradesh and isolated rainfall over eastern Uttar Pradesh and northern Rajasthan February 9. Delhi, western Uttar Pradesh and isolated rainfall over eastern Uttar Pradesh and northern Rajasthan on Feb 9,” IMD tweeted.

“Isolated to scattered rainfall likely over West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand and North Odisha on 9-10 Feb 2022,” he said in another tweet.
