After a brief hiatus, non-seasonal rains returned to Mumbai yesterday.
A yellow alert was issued for Mumbai and Thane on Wednesday as heavy rains are expected.

According to reports, coastal areas like southern Mumbai, western suburbs will receive more rainfall than interiors like Thane, Kalyan.
According to the IMD bulletin, an area of ââlow pressure is expected to form over the east-central Arabian Sea off Maharashtra around December 1.
Fairly widespread rains with thunderstorms and lightning are also expected over Gujarat, north-central Maharashtra and the northern Konkan region on Wednesday and Thursday.
“An area of ââlow pressure is likely to form over the east-central Arabian Sea off the coast of Maharashtra over the next 24 hours. A disturbance from the west is in the form of a trough. in westerly winds of the mid and upper troposphere around along Length 58 degrees E north of Lat 15 degrees N, âIMD tweeted Tuesday.
