Heavy rain warning for Rewa and Shahdol divisions


BHOPAL: A yellow heavy rain alert was issued on Sunday for Rewa and Shahdol divisions and 12 other districts like Guna, Datia, Shivpuri, Ashok Nagar, Sheopurkalan, Bhind, Dhar, Ujjain, Rajgarh, Vidisha, Sehore and Raisen, according to reports responsible for the meteorological department. .

As a result, heavy rains will continue to affect parts of Madhya Pradesh. Datia, Shivpuri, Guna, Ashok Nagar, Vidisha are already districts affected by the floods. They will again receive heavy rains in the area.

The low pressure area persists over northern Madhya Pradesh. This has resulted in heavy to very heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh and the eastern part of Rajasthan for some time now.

According to the weather service, the low pressure area will weaken in the next 24 hours and the axis of the monsoon trough will begin to move north. The humid easterly winds will be replaced by dry westerly winds. The weather will become dry in the northwest and most parts of central India.

During the past 24 hours, light to moderate rains with a few heavy episodes occurred over northern and southwestern Madhya Pradesh. Light to moderate rains fell over the rest of Madhya Pradesh. During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rains accompanied by a few severe episodes could occur over northern Madhya Pradesh. Light to moderate rains are possible in other parts of Madhya Pradesh.
