Orange Glazed Skinless Chicken Wings – USDA
Makes: 5 servings
Orange marmalade flavors these delicious skinless chicken wings. Enjoy this appetizer with brown rice and grilled or roasted vegetables.
Ingredients
- 10 chicken wings (skin removed)
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- 1 teaspoon of seasoned salt
- 8 tablespoons of orange marmalade (1/2 cup)
directions
- Rinse the chicken wings and dry on paper towels. Tuck the tip of the wing under the larger joint to form a triangle.
- Heat the butter in a skillet (200 degF on a temperature-controlled gas burner).
- Sprinkle the wings with seasoned salt and place them in heated butter. Saute on a temperature-controlled gas burner (325 degrees F) until evenly browned on both sides, about 20 minutes.
- Spread with orange marmalade, continuing to sauté, basting frequently for another 20 minutes.
- Remove from the pan. Serve hot.
- Maintain at service temperature on the automatic burner or in the âKeep-Warmâ oven set at 170 deg F. They will be nicely frozen and âstickyâ.
Remarks
Pieces of thigh or whole chicken can be prepared this way and served as a starter.
