Carson City Area Weather Update Tuesday: Snow-covered roads make morning commutes easier | Carson City Nevada News

More snow fell early Tuesday morning, creating slippery roads across the region and traffic checkpoints across the region.

Many areas are reporting at least an inch or more of snow, along with snowy roads in and around the Reno, Carson City, Minden, Gardnerville and Dayton areas as well as the Lake Tahoe Basin.

The Nevada Department of Transportation and the Nevada State Police are reporting icy roads and potentially dangerous driving conditions in eight northern Nevada counties. Meanwhile, a winter weather advisory remains in effect for the area until 10 a.m. Tuesday morning. Motorists can expect additional snow accumulations and slippery road conditions, causing problems with the morning commute. Motorists are asked to take it easy this morning.
